6 Days Seven Churches Tour

DAY 1 Izmir
Afternoon visit the Church of St. Policarp which is the oldest church in ancient Smyrna, it symbolized the community of the Seven Churches of the Apocalypse. Then visit Alexander the Great's "Velvet Castle" overlooking the bay of Izmir. (L, D).
DAY 2 Pergamon
Departure after breakfast for Pergamon (Bergama), the place where, wrote St. John to the church of Pergamon, "Satan's throne is sited. Visit the Church of Pergamon, the red-court, Acropolis, after lunch; we drive to Smyrna (Izmir), recipient of a letter from St Paul praising the early believers for their faithfulness. Visiting to St. Polycarp Church and a short tour of the city at the end of the tour, transfer to the Izmir Airport flight back to Istanbul. After arrival meet and assist to hotel (B, L, D).
DAY 3 Ephesus
Ephesus, one of the "Seven Churches of Revelation". Visit to St. John Basilica and the, Last abode of Virgin Mary at Mount Solmissos. Visit to the old Greco-Roman city of Ephesus, most important of the "Seven Churches of Asia Minor", where St. John brought Mary in fulfillment of his pledge to Jesus to protect her, she is believed to have taken into heaven. Return to Izmir, dinner and overnight (B, L, D).
DAY 4 Izmir - Sardes - Philadelphia - Pamukkale
Drive to Sardes, ancient capital of the Lydians and visit the Church of Sardes. Continue to Alasehir where the ancient Philadelphia Church is located. Walk the streets of Philadelphia, then proceed to Pamukkale, the white "Cotton Castle" with its lime cascades of the Roman spa. See the ancient city of Hierapolis. The Martyrium of St. Philip the Apostle is here. Enjoy a leisurely bath in the hot spring pool of your hotel (B, L, D)
DAY 5 Laodicea - Aphrodisias - Kusadasi
Morning visit the ancient Laodicea, then drive to Aphrodisias, the city of the Goddess of Love, see the well preserved Stadium, The Temple of Aphrodite, the Odeon, the theater, Agora and Hadrian Bath.(B, L, D).
DAY 6 Pergamon / Home
After breakfast transfer to airport or night extension (B).
